Fun Classic Family Session in Corpus Christi, Texas
Being a photographer in Corpus Christi, you can imagine I get asked to shoot at the beach a lot, so it is always a nice change to get asked to do a family session somewhere else! Vanessa was certain she did NOT want to deal with the beach and wind and preferred more greenery and trees. Hans Suter Wildlife Refuge, or “Old Faithful” as I like to call it was the perfect spot. I loved how everyone was coordinating in black shirts but that they didn’t completely match with the style of shirt. A little variety is always best. On the day of the session poor little Jonah wasn’t feeling well and was not interested in letting go of his toy truck and his juice. Sometimes we have to just roll with the punches and in this case we all agreed to let him keep hold of those items. After all a toy truck in hand is better than a crying face. We made sure to get different group shots, just Vanessa’s mom and dad, just the siblings, etc. Toward the end of our session, Jonah looked like he was feeling a little better so we tried one last time to get a full group. It didnt go as planned but at least we tried and the photos will be fun to look back at when he is older.
I think we still got some absolutely beautiful portraits that are going to look amazing printed big on the wall. Can’t wait to get the large prints in a hopefully share a photo of it before it gets delivered!
