Unique Art Museum Proposal at the Art Center of Corpus Christi

I have photographed a number of proposals in and around Corpus Christi, Texas but an art museum proposal was a first for me! When Kevin emailed telling me his plan and asking about photography services I knew this was going to be one for the books!

The ladies at the Art Center of Corpus Christi were so helpful and just as excited as I was (and maybe more nervous than he was!). Before their arrival he coordinated a well thought out plan with the Art Center to display a canvas he’d had made and a plan to hand off his phone and have their song playing and having the proposal video recorded as well as photographed.

It happened to be a market day there so Kevin and his girlfriend arrived, with her under the assumption they were just there to check it out. They walked the stalls enjoying locally made goods and produce. He broke away from her to “go to the restroom” which is when he handed over his phone and gave us our queue to get in place. When he returned to her he mentioned there was an Art Gallery inside that she should come see. As they entered the room “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” played over the speakers. They rounded the partitioning wall and walked hand in hand up to this adorable photo collage canvas with a square that read “Will You Marry Me?” Kevin got down on his knee and the rest is history!

Obviously SHE SAID YES! I stayed back capturing the sweet unscripted moments before taking them upstairs to the walkway area for a couple quick posed engagement photos.

I don’t think I will ever get tired of proposal shoots!
