Jenna + Joe | Matagorda, Tx Backyard Wedding

Jenna and Joe Buck had a beautiful backyard wedding on their property in Matagorda, Texas. When Jenna’s inquiry came through my inbox back in 2019 I was so excited since we all went to high school together. As happens when everyone graduates we hadn’t seen each other since then and only had followed each other’s lives via Facebook. We got right to planning for their April 2020 wedding, took their engagement photos at Brazos Bend State Park, and then 2020 happened. They made the tough decision to postpone their long-awaited wedding day for a year.

Finally, April 2021 rolled around and brought its own string of setbacks, but not COVID, not a chainsaw accident 6 days prior to the wedding (yes chainsaw accident!), or a 70% chance of rain would stop their wedding day from happening!

From the beautiful array of spring colors in the florals, bridesmaids’ dresses, and groomsmen’s ties to the open fields and blooming trees spread about the property it truly was a magical spring wedding day. Not a drop of rain fell during the ceremony and reception. Joe was able to walk down the aisle and dance all the dances! Family and friends gathered and celebrated the couple. The day was filled with happy tears, belly laughs, and so much fun on the dance floor!

It was an absolute honor to be chosen to capture their wedding. I am in awe of their resilience through all the trials they encountered along the way. These two are truly meant for each other and I wish them a lifetime of love and adventure together!
