Samantha and Andrew are the newest couple to join the KirbyLeAnneWeddings crew and I couldn’t be more thrilled that they chose me to be the one to capture their wedding day. We immediately got to planning their engagement session and I very quickly felt connected to them. They met in and currently live in Houston while training to become flight attendants for United Airlines. As a girl who grew up in Houston from 1 year old to 18 I will always claim it as “my city” no matter how long it has been since I moved away.
I was so excited when Sam mentioned they wanted to use their flight attendant uniforms for some of the photos and knew we had to use this really cool parking garage rooftop right next to the Corpus Christi Cathedral where their ceremony will take place. The view is phenomenal and while editing I ended up having this idea to add a United airplane ascending in the background! I loved how it just added that extra oomph to the image and made it that much more special to them!
After a quick pit stop for photos in front of the Cathedral, we ended the session at the Marina. The Omni in the background of the wide shots is another fun little detail since that is where their reception will be held! We managed to get both venues incorporated in their engagement photos!
Samantha and Andrew have already adventured around the world together. While their wedding day has been postponed until next year due to COVID concerns, the best adventures are yet to come and will be SO worth the wait!
